Impact: Student Leaders @ FCCH

Impact is our student leader program designed to plug High School students into various volunteer opportunities in the church while helping them grow leadership skills.

FCC Hudson Youth Ministries is excited to debut the full-year iteration of a program aimed at nurturing your student’s sense of leadership and belonging within our community. Taking the former name of our High School youth ministry, Impact is our program for High Schoolers designed to stimulate volunteerism, leadership, and engagement. Through this program, we want to help cultivate your student’s leadership skills, nurture their heart for serving others, deepen their relationships in our faith community, and recognize them for the incredible human being they already are – all while setting them up for success in their future.

Impact is now the primary touch point for High School students on Sunday mornings! Breakfast Club will be shifting to a Middle School only focus, and will be an opportunity for High Schoolers to volunteer, among many other Sunday morning opportunities. Or, if you prefer, your high schooler can attend worship!

Students will be given access to a menu of volunteer opportunities to choose from. Service hours are tracked across the academic year through the end of April. Volunteer time from summer activities in 2024 can also included in this program. Two merit based awards – the Student Service Award and the Student Engagement Award will be given out annually to any student that meets a threshold of engagement and service criteria outlined at the link below. Our Student Leader of the Year will be selected by the Youth Board annually from the students that show exemplary dedication to participation, leadership, and service.

Most of our service opportunities transfer to the various service hour requirements that schools have – helping set your student up for success in communities like Key Club and National Honors Society. The experiences we have to offer also look great on college applications as well! Above all, the relationships that are created here have the potential to last a lifetime and be a source of support for your student throughout high school and beyond.

Please take some time to review the various ways in which your student serve, as well as details about awards and how your student can earn credit toward them. You can register online by clicking the link above and view the program details above as well. Credit for the 2024-2025 Impact season will begin being tracked on the day of our orientation: 8/18/24.
