Sue Wimer

Sue’s passion for serving the Northeast Ohio community is infectious! Whether it’s leading First Serve – our church’s annual day of service – or the church’s outreach ministries, she’s dedicated to making an impact on people’s lives. For 16 years, she did just that as a kindergarten teacher in Cleveland and Hudson.  We’re thankful she’s been with us since 2005 – when she started as Director of Stewardship and Development. But, don’t let that title fool you – Sue’s also known to be a decorator extraordinaire and a brilliant special event planner. Sue lives with her husband, Derran, in Akron. Looking for a good place to catch some jazz music? Sue is the person to ask. She also enjoys traveling and hanging out with her two grown sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and adorable dog, Sam.
