Rev. Steven Hockstra

Steve earned a youth ministry degree at Geneva College and practiced in that field for nearly 20 years. It was in that role that Steve came to our church in 2009. Reverend Wiley encouraged him to consider ordination and, in 2016, Steve was ordained in this church, surrounded by family and friends. Steve values the culture of excellence and spirit of constant improvement that he believes is unique to this church. In his role as Associate Pastor, Steve works in local senior care facilities, oversees youth ministry and adult faith formation, and is part of the worship team. Favorite scripture? Steve touts the message of God’s unconditional love found in Luke 15. Steve is passionate about sports – all sports – and has been since he was a young boy growing up in Maryland. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters and a dog.
